Coforta 100 is for the supplementation of animals with phosphorus where it is apparent that such treatment would be beneficial to the animal's condition and where the simultaneous administration of Vitamin B12 is required.

  • Source of phosphorus and vitamin B12 for quick and available energy.
  • Improves appetite.
  • Speeds up recovery following over-exertion and exhaustion or illness.
  • Stimulates immunity to fight disease.
  • Functions as an antioxidant free radical scavenger.
  • A metabolic stimulant and tonic for metabolic disorders

Coforta can be administered by intramuscular or subcutaneous injection and can be given daily if required (in acute disease cases). When volumes over 20mL are used, the dose should be split and given at several sites. All injection equipment should be sterilised prior to use. In acutely diseased animals, give the following dose:

Repeat daily if required.

In chronic disease, give half the above dosage at intervals of 1 - 2 weeks or less. In healthy animals, give half the above dose.

Subcutaneous injections should be made under the skin - high on the neck and behind the ear. Intramuscular injections should be given into the neck muscle. Use needles of appropriate gauge (18-21 gauge) and length, and no longer than 15mm for subcutaneous injections.
